Things to Do

Everyone! This THE O.C.!

Remember, you must watch all four seasons of The O.C. before you arrive. This will give you a head start on all the “cool” places to go.

In all seriousness:

San Juan Capistrano Best Restaurants:

Ramos House Café – set on the train tracks in SJC. This is Haley’s favorite restaurant of all-time!

*Good for breakfast/lunch

Ciao Pasta – delicious Italian food, if you didn’t guess already. Right across from Mission Basilica

*Good for lunch/dinner

L’Hirondelle Restaurant – French food. Haley’s parents frequent there every Friday night. Drop the names Chris and Ken Thayer and you’re sure to get a hug or something from the owner.

*Good for dinner

Chill/easy eats in SJC:

Bad to the Bone BBQ

*Good for lunch

Los Golondrinas – don’t let the small storefront fool you. The burritos are delightful.

*Good for lunch

San Juan Capistrano Places To Go:

Take a tour at the Mission Basilica and the grounds… and that’s about it.

Looking for more?

Head over to Dana Point –

Great bars/restaurants as far as the eye can see.

Salt Creek Beach has a good amount of parking and it’s beautiful.

Whale Watching is pretty epic here as well.

Laguna Beach Best Restaurants (not sure how you choose from the millions of choices but here are a few of our favorites):

Banzai Bowls – Acai bowls are out of this world!

*Good for breakfast

Zinc Café – Really cute restaurant tucked away in the heart of Laguna Beach. Eat there and walk to the main beach front.

*Good for breakfast.

Beachcomber Café – Literally, right on the beach. Go there for any meal – be prepared to wait or make a reservation. One of the few restaurants where you can walk in the sand/water and then go have a great meal.

*Good for brunch, lunch and dinner

The Deck on Laguna Beach – Go here for drinks at sunset. The food is pretty good but the scenery is out of this world.

*Good for happy hour

Nick’s Laguna Beach – Classic staple that’s delicious and great people watching.

*Good for dinner

Laguna Beach Places To Go:

Well… it’s in the name. Go to the beach.

Best beaches to explore: Thousand Steps (yes, there are a lot of steps down) and Victoria Beach (where we took our engagement photos)
